  Komatsu PC 5500

Hallo zusammen,

Very nice pictures! This is my favorite machine! Really like the look of it. Hope it comes in 1:50 scale model some day! großes Grinsen

Hallo Dragon,

yes the PC 5500 is quiet nice, but it seems to be that Komatsu will not order the PC 5500 neither the PC 8000 as a scale model.

The PC 3000 is allready available in its latest model the PC 3000.6.
See attached the photo of the model. ( Remark: this foto shows the PC 3000.1)

Some years ago Demag made a scale model from the H 485.But this model if you can find it, is f..... expensive, i saw models in ebay for arround 250 - 300 €.

Let us hope Komatsu comes to a better mind then. It would be two awsome models!

I have seen the Demags and they are really nice. Someday Im getting one for sure.

Speeeedy >> On the last pic there is a smaller excavator loading a truck what is it doing there? I mean it cant be a part of the mines machinery? Strange to have a PC5500 and a bunch of 830E then also have a smaller excavator (Not sure what model it is but Im guessing somewhere between PC800 and PC600).. hehe

MiningMan>> Welcome to the forum. Im glad there is someone else that speak English here since I dont speak German I dont understand most of the stuff that is discussed. Augen rollen
Im also into the larger equipment used for mining. But there isnt any around where I live... unglücklich

I think it ´s a Cat 345B loading coal or clean the coal ! the Dozer is ripping that the excavator can load the material ! It´s normal to remove the first cm to get clean coal without other materials in it ! It´s better for the power station !

Geschrieben von Colombia-Fan am 14.03.2007 um 16:06:

PK you are right the Cat 345 is working in the coal.

Normally they are cleaning the coal with a CAT 824 wheel dozer (fotos i´ll post soon), and then they load the coal with CAT 345 or a smaller CAT 330.

OF course it makes sence to clean the coal, better for the power plant and the coal crashers.

In the moment there is not a lot of Komatsu Staff in the mine the PC 5500 and 7 Dozers D 275 that´s it.

All other equipment is CAT

regards
